Pangaea Highway e-zine is intended to establish a dynamic connection between the readership and the creative team, by expanding opportunities for original self-expression in all the literary, visual and performing arts genre through the use of new literacies.  We exist without borders, and encourage our readership to submit original work, to speak for themselves, and to co-create a compendium of all that is going on within the culture.  The e-zine will serve as a technological gallery space that is out of the conventional frame and protean in nature.  Our vision requires the readership and the contributors to self-identify rather than merely consume predigested content as assigned by the editors and publisher.
The e-zine is not a blog with pictures, an online school newspaper or newsletter, literary magazine, or vanity project for individuals with access. Rather, it is the creative outgrowth of an organic conversation whose purpose is to communicate a cultural brand that is at once wholly authentic, inclusive of all voices–and evolving.
Moreover, it will have a forward-thinking visual design and brand that combines the explicit dynamism of graphic novels with cutting edge commercial illustration informed by global trends in aerosol art, hand-built collage, graffiti iconography, pattern design, animation, and the new calligraphies.
Submissions may be in any language and will be published most often without English-language translation so as to highlight the multi-lingual interests of our readership.  Guest editors with proficiency in nonwestern languages will be utilized, when needed.
The editorial board is comprised of a diverse group of volunteers who will serve as the first co-editors and publisher.  The governing principle of our work together is to place our conceptual vision foremost over the particulars of personal style and voice of those editors.
